CERT Basic Training

 No date is set for the next CERT Class to be offered in Whitehall.  If you are interested in the next class,

please go to our ‘contact us’ page and send us an email requesting to be admitted to the next class. 

 

Please be sure to include your name, address, phone number and email address. You may also contact,  Asst. Chief Preston Moore at the Whitehall Fire Department.

 

First Aid and CPR certification.  All CERT members should have certification in First Aid and CPR.  We are able to provide American Red Cross training at all levels, up to and including Emergency Response, which is the First Responder level.

 

A Wilderness First Aid Course.   can be scheduled anytime, 24 hour 2 day class.

 

FIRST RESPONDER -   We would like to sponsor a class. If you want it - l;et us know.

 

FIRE FIGHTER 36 HOUR CARD -

 

CERT REFRESHER - Anyone who has completed the CERT Basic Course, will be able to attend arefresher class.

  

DHS – The Department of Homeland Security has mandating that by September 30, 2006, all individuals who interact

with any government agency or organizations that interact with a government agency and receive federal funding

(including federal, state, territorial, local, tribal, private, and NGO’s) must have two federal certification or lose federal funding. 

  

The following are what is required:

 

IS-100 Introduction to ICS (Incident Command System)

 

IS-700 NIMS: An Introduction.  (National Incident Command System)

  

The next required class is:

 

IS-800 National Response Plan (NRP), An Introduction – revised 7/06

 

 All courses can be completed via the FEMA Independent Study Program.  If you have problems accessing the web
